California Climate Action Registry recognizes Corning as a Climate Action Leader
Corning was recognized as a leader for successfully verifying its greenhouse gas emissions from 2005 through 2009. The designation recognizes the company’s efforts to measure, verify and report its worldwide greenhouse gas emissions voluntarily.

Corning Children’s Center Achieves LEED Silver Certification
This new construction, Corning-owned building was recognized by the United States Green Building Council as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) facility; one of the highest designations for green buildings in the U.S. The child care facility met rigorous standards in construction materials, energy conservation, recycling and air quality. Corning's Decker Building Attains LEED Certification
Corning’s Decker Building was the first company building to earn LEED certification. The renovations incorporated energy management principles such as improved lighting and insulation, high efficiency equipment and environmentally friendly carpet and cleaning products. (2009)

Corning Display Technologies Taiwan's Taichung Plant Receives S.H. Five-Star Award
Corning Display Technologies Taiwan (CDTT) won the S.H. Five-Star Award for performance at its Taichung plant. This award goes to companies recognized for safety and health best practices for three consecutive years. The Taichung plant has received this recognition since 2006, when it began operations. Corning Display Technologies Taiwan Receives 2009 Enterprise Environmental Protection Award
Corning Display Technologies Taiwan (CDTT) won the 2009 Enterprise Environmental Protection Award for demonstrating accomplishment in environmental protection, including manufacturing process, green product, and plant waste recycling at its Taichung plant. (2009)

Corning Display Technologies Taiwan - Tainan Plant Named AEO Model Company
The Corning Display Technologies Taiwan (CDTT) Tainan plant was one of two companies in Taiwan selected by the Taiwanese Customs office as an AEO (Authorized Economic Operator), receiving its certificate in December.  AEO is a certificate awarded for supply chain security, and was widely adopted in European Union countries.
